Last week Andrew Christian models walked the streets of Amsterdam to promote the AC brand and their store in De Negen Straatjes area of Amsterdam. They escorted designer Andrew Christian to the store where national TV network RTL came to capture it all. To see the video click here (unfortunately it’s not embeddable). There’s a lot of Dutch (I believe that’s the language) in the video, but the interviews with AC are in English. Enjoy!

We’ve discussedObviously numerous times in the past. Just as a quick refresher, Obviously is an Australian brand that specializes in making “anatomically correct” underwear for men. The idea is that there is a separate pouch that allows your junk to hang as it naturally would. They promise no sticking, squashing, readjusting, chaffing, or sweating. I’ve reviewed their Sinuous line bikini brief in the past, today I’m going to review their low-rise brief which is available in a lot of different colors and in all their collections.
The fit of this brief is actually quite skimpy, although upon first glance it appears that you are well covered. In reality, the sides are quite tiny with less than an inch of fabric at the smallest point. However, this is augmented by a rather large waistband, so the overall visual impression is that more is covered. These briefs fit true to size and are very form fitting across the sides, butt, and perineum. The low-rise of these briefs just barely covers the assets. As I have pointed out in my previous review, the pouch seems a little unnecessarily large at times and doesn’t really hold your member in place but rather allows it to flop around – but that is afterall the point of these. I personally find this to be a little annoying at times. This is especially true when wearing tighter fitting pants as the underwear lets your member hang freely in the front, thus tight pants tend to squeeze things awkwardly up front. As was the case with my previous Obviously experience, you are not completely hanging free and the pouch does allow a certain amount of support.

Just like all Obviously products, these are made from an oh-so-soft and smooth modal and lycra blend. The fabric is super soft and sensuous against the skin. It is also thin and feels almost weightless, a perfect choice for hot summer days. The tag is printed onto the inside for additional comfort. My only complaint comfort-wise is there is a seam at the bottom of the pouch across the perineum area. This seam I found is too far forward on these briefs and tended to brush up against my balls in an uncomfortable manner that required an occasional readjustment. While this is not a deal breaker, I found myself adjusting these undies way more than I would like. Part of this, however, has to do with the pants you wear them with and how much you make the pouch expand to handle your manhood throughout the course of the day.
As for the style of these things, these briefs are sizzling… sssssss…. They’re almost too hot to handle. As I said, they are super skimpy. The back is full coverage, but the sides are practically non-existent. These come in a fun array of colors that are bright and playful as well as more subdued colors for the more reserved individual. I really love the way the logo waistband is set with the type not quite fitting on the band.
As with all Obviously underwear, these will set you back a pretty penny or two, but they are very good quality and well made. These will last you a good time. And with summer coming up, something this light-weight is perfect for keeping you covered and comfortable during the hot, sticky, summer days ahead. For even more comfort this summer from Obviously, try their thong.

Here’s a photo I found of actor, model and pornstar Brent Corrigan strutting his stuff in a pair of 7 Up briefs. I have no idea where to find underwear like this, but he sure fills them well. And in the words of their 1980 slogan I’m “Feelin’ 7 Up”.

Here’s a first look at Ashley Olsen on the cover of the September issue of FASHION. It’s a beautiful set of photographs with, of course!, only pruned lips involved and a lot of dark eyes. Am all over the heavily lined eyes. If only my eyes weren’t so oily.
Ashley and Mary-Kate are adding a denim line to their growing label. I won’t lie – I like Elizabeth & James. A LOT. More than The Row. It’s good clothes. Textile Elizabeth & James will be available this fall. Will be interested to see if the twins can do jeans.
As for the article – Ashley talks about how it all started (she made 2 pieces for friends) and her boyfriend Justin Bartha (who was NOT Jennifer Aniston’s mystery date) and whether or not children are in her future.
She also breaks down how she and MK run the business. This made my life:
Contrary to popular belief, Mary-Kate and Ashley are two very different women with different roles in their companies. Ashley is the main brain behind the brand building, while Mary-Kate’s creative strength is storytelling— she often works on the “narrative”of a collection.
The “narrative” of something is my new favourite job description.

Rebecca Minkoff announces exciting news this morning, along with her fab bags she’ll be launching footwear for spring 2011. According to WWD, the first collection will be 25 styles and will make their debut at her rtw presentation during New York fashion week. Most of the styles display signature leather detailing, called the “MAB flap.” (MAB is short for Morning After Bag, Minkoff’s first handbag, on which the feature appeared.) The line will retail for $160 to $395.
“I’ve always been obsessed with shoes,” said Minkoff. “I’ve been wanting to do this for three years, but I wanted to wait until it felt right.”
Cute shoes! Can’t wait to see the full collection! Do you like the styles?

By the time the calendar flips over to September the fashion world is in a frenzy gearing up for the marathon of events associated with Fashion Week. This year we’ll have an excuse to lean back and catch a movie since fashion’s invaded that field as well. Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan opens at the Venice Film Festival September 1. The amazingly talented Mulleavy sisters Kate and Laura of Rodarte designed the costumes for the movie’s entire corp of ballet dancers. In the flick, Natalie Portman plays a ballerina with some stiff competition from Mila Kunis’ character and the relationship between the two gets a little twisted. Whatever twists and turns the plot takes we’re sure all eyes will be on the feathered beauties created by Rodarte. This may be their first try at costume design but we hope it isn’t the last.
